Diverse Talent Strategies Announces New Partnership with Indiana Commission for Higher Education

Program to help employers attract, retain, and develop talent in the State of Indiana

Indianapolis, IN — Diverse Talent Strategies (DTS) announces today a new partnership with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education to deploy the Engage Mentoring program. The initiative will help students connect with university alumni and employers in the State of Indiana and will arm employers with tools to attract, retain, and develop talent.

The Engage Mentoring program is a model of mentoring that uses a proprietary software system to help employees build the necessary skills needed to be good mentors, as well as connect with qualified mentors in the business community.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Commission for Higher Education on the Engage Mentoring program,” said Sheri Alexander, president, employee benefits at Gregory & Appel Insurance and chairperson of the Engage Mentoring Executive Leadership Roundtable.  “Now more than ever, employers need resources and strategies for employee engagement and development. This program will be a powerful tool in their arsenal.”

Gregory & Appel Insurance will launch the Engage Mentoring program internally making them among the first companies in the State of Indiana to implement the program.

“We are excited to partner with DTS on the Engage Mentoring program,” said Jason Bearce, senior associate commissioner for strategy and external affairs at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. “We are most excited about two aspects of the Engage Mentoring program: First, our students will receive training on how to get the most out of a mentoring relationship and how to be both a good mentor and a good mentee. Second, they will have access to a wide variety of mentors in the business community. We are excited to play an active role in connecting our students to businesses. It’s a win-win in connecting companies to the talent they need.”
