Introduction: Mentoring Basics Blog Series

With back-to-school in full force and the holiday season looming right around the corner, August is a great month for reevaluating your goals and reengaging with your mentoring program. We’ve made several changes to the program lately to improve the mentoring process, and we know it can be difficult to keep up with what’s new. To help make this easier, we will be releasing a new blog post every Thursday in August to get you back on track with your mentoring program.

Week 1: Getting Reacquainted with Your Landing Page

This week’s blog post will be a guide to getting reacquainted with your landing page. This is the page you visited when you first joined the program. Your landing page is designed to introduce you to the program and walk you through the process of setting up your mentoring profile, but it’s also full of helpful information and resources for success that you may not know about. The post will explore all of the new features we’ve added to make this page your one-stop-shop for everything related to your mentoring program experience.

Week 2: Let’s Get Together! Your Networking Opportunities

The second post will take a closer look at all of the various networking opportunities you gain access to as a participant in a DTS mentoring program, and show you where you can find information about upcoming events both online and in your area. We’ll also take an in-depth look at how you can experience our monthly online Speed Networking events. These are invaluable resources for you to meet people who are also participating in this unique mentoring experience.

Week 3: Back to Basics – Mentoring Sessions 101

The third week of August we’ll be going back to basics to give you a refresher course on how to engage with the mentoring program. This post will serve as a Mentoring 101 on where and how to get matched with a mentor or mentee and what to do once you’ve made a connection. If it’s been a while since you’ve engaged with the program or you haven’t yet made that first connection, this post is for you.

Week 4: What is Talent Nexus? Mentoring Livestream RECAP!

Lastly, we’ll wrap up the month with our first ever mentoring livestream, where we sit down to answer YOUR questions, share our mentoring tips with you, and clear up any misconceptions about the program. We’ll follow this up with a recap of the stream in our final blog post for the month. Have you got questions about mentoring or the program in general? Send them to us at info@diversetalentstrategies.com OR tweet us @DT_Strategies!

Be sure to check back every week to see these posts as they become available. These posts are sure to help you make the most of your mentoring program experience and stay organized while you develop professionally.
